SHEYITAINMENTBLOG EFCC arrests two girls attempting to smuggle hard drugs to detainees by hiding them inside sausages The Ibadan Zonal Office of the EFCC, on Tuesday, October 20, 2020, arrested two ladies, Jumoke Ayodele and Opeoluwa Temitayo, for an attempt to smuggle substances believed to be hard drug to suspects in the custody of the zonal office. The substance, according to a medical officer with the Commission, is ‘colorado drug’ noted for having dire psychological effect on its abusers. The ladies on their part admitted that the substance was a hard drug, meant for the consumption of the detainees. Led by Chinedu Okoli, highlife maestro better known as Flavour; Chibuzor Nelson Azubuike, a rapper better known as Phyno, Kingsley Okonkwo, singer better known as Kcee, were chanting “ End SARS! End SARS!”  as they moved the massive crowd of protesters. SHEYITAINMENTBLOG Former commissioner of police, Fulani Kwajafa, who created the disbanded  special anti-robbery squad (SARS) , says he has been nursing regrets for creating the unit.  Speaking in an interview with BBC Hausa, he said over time, SARS lost focus and derailed from the purpose for which it was created. Recall that following the public outrage, the inspector-general of police,  Mohammed Adamu , disbanded the anti-robbery unit. Speaking on how SARS came to be, Kwajafa explained that in the 1980s, a lot of criminal activities started happening in the country, especially in Lagos state. He said Muhammadu Buhari, who was then head of state, ordered Etim Inyang, then inspector-general of police, to strategise how to end the menace.
